During the second week of our season this spring we were excited to be hunting with a new group of archery hunters for spring bear. Jason Gaddy and his father were over looking a hunting area where we had spotted a huge black bear a few days before. After only a short time in their stand the bear showed himself and after 4 hours of circling the stand just out of range the giant old boar finally presented a shot. Jason wasted no time and placed 2 arrows perfectly. Just at dark we tracked the bear and after a few tense moments Jason had his trophy, an unbelievable bear 7′4 and about 400lbs.
