BEARS

Alberta supports a healthy and well-managed population of black bears, offering excellent hunting opportunities each spring and fall. Great White consistently harvests mature, high-quality bears, with a strong chance of encountering color-phase animals. Cinnamon, chocolate, and blonde bears are regularly taken within our hunting area.

Our zone is located in Alberta’s boreal forest, an expansive region of mixed and old-growth forest that stretches across much of the province and beyond. The southern boundary of our zone borders a large military reserve—approximately 12,000 square kilometers—where hunting is restricted. This creates a natural refuge, allowing bears to move freely into our hunt area throughout the season.

Our lodge is situated on Winefred Lake, which also offers outstanding northern pike and walleye fishing. Additional lodge information can be found at winefredlakelodge.ca.

Black bear hunting with Great White is an action-filled yet low-pressure experience. It is well suited for serious trophy hunters, as well as families or first-time bear hunters looking for an enjoyable hunt combined with quality fishing and comfortable lodge accommodations.
