WHITETAIL
White-tailed deer are the most widely pursued big-game species in Alberta, thriving across farmland, river bottoms, and mixed bush country. While whitetails are abundant, harvesting a mature, free-ranging trophy buck remains a true challenge due to hunting pressure, keen instincts, and highly variable rut conditions.
Alberta’s managed seasons and habitat diversity continue to support strong whitetail populations, with the rut occurring primarily through November. Mature bucks are prized for heavy mass, frame, and character developed through age and natural movement patterns.
Great White operates in proven areas with consistent whitetail production and offers focused rut hunts emphasizing fair-chase methods and experienced field strategy. Alberta remains one of the premier destinations for hunters seeking a true wild whitetail experience.

A flat-shooting .25 caliber rifle or larger is recommended.
