MOOSE
The Western Canadian moose is a subspecies found throughout the boreal and mixed deciduous forests of western Canada. It is the second-largest moose subspecies in North America, surpassed only by the Alaska–Yukon moose.
Our moose hunts are based out of our lodge on Winefred Lake. Each day begins with travel by boat, Argo, or truck, making this hunt less physically demanding than many backcountry-style moose hunts. These hunts take place during the rut, when calling is highly effective for drawing bulls out of heavy cover and into closer range, often along the water’s edge.
Our moose rut hunts are Late Sept - Late October, Limited November hunts are also available and can be combined with white-tailed deer during the rut. Please contact us directly for specific dates and availability for the November hunt.
Transportation to and from Ft. McMurray to our northern lodge on Winefred Lake.
All meals at camp, lodging and guides.

Wolf/coyote license (Wolf trophy fee of $3,500 will be added on a kill).

RATES & DATES
Our moose hunters are 75-80%+ successful most years. Hunts run from Mid September to late October. Average shot distance is 100 yards for moose. Average trophy size is 43"+, we take moose in the 50" + range each year.
There is excellent fishing in the area for northern pike, walleye, perch and whitefish. We supply all tackle, rods and reels. Hunters need to arrive in Fort McMurray(YMM).
Black bears are plentiful in our area and can be added to the hunt. Grouse hunting may also be added(ruffled and spruce grouse). It is not uncommon to encounter wolf & coyote on this hunt as well and both can be added to the hunt.
A .25 caliber rifle or larger is required. We are happy to supply you with a rifle (Tikka 7mm magnum) for your hunt (Fee of $200). Non-hunters are welcome to accompany you in camp ($2,500). Non-hunters with fishing($4000.00).
